Technology isn’t going anywhere and adoption only continues to grow at exponential rates. It consumes almost every aspect of our lives from how we work and communicate to how we buy and even eat. Architecture and construction are no exception as technology’s influence is taking hold in the built environment too. A renovated former Wells Fargo Bank building will soon become the new home of the city of Hartselle’s municipal building. The three-story, 21,000-square-foot building is currently under renovation and once completed will include a reception area, auditorium/courtroom, offices with separate meeting spaces, records vault, and public restrooms. MillerClapperton is fabricating 2,300 square feet of Metal Composite Material for the project.

Seeking to connect guests more closely with nature, architects around the world are designing hotels that are not only sustainable, but also mindful of their ecological footprint. Several eco-conscious hospitality projects have managed to harmonize the surrounding environment with the architecture to create incredible experiences through a closeness to nature. The prestigious iF Design Award 2021 selected winners who “demonstrated that the blend of ecological awareness and creative design” was possible through their respectful and holistic concepts.
