Completed in June 2025, the First Redeemer Church expansion project represents a significant investment in the growth and well-being of the church community, while demonstrating a commitment to lifelong learning and the empowerment of adults in their spiritual journey. The project consists of the construction of a new, state-of-the-art Adult Bible Education building and an addition to the Preschool Education space. The preschool wing expansion added 8,000 square feet with a new front entrance for families with preschoolers and a large parking area. There is also a new, age-appropriate worship center designed to engage preschoolers with God’s word in creative ways. Additional classroom space provided more room for the church’s growing preschool ministry, and an indoor playground gives children a safe and kid-friendly place to play.
Additionally, a new, three-story adult education center adds 45,000 square feet of education and conference space, connecting directly to the main worship building. A covered drop-off lane and additional parking add convenience, while a new front entry opens to a beautiful concourse with a monumental staircase. The building has a large library as well as 33 well-equipped classrooms, doubling the current class capacity.
The adult education center faces Highway 141, making a strong statement to the community about the commitment to Bible education. The new addition inspires and uplifts, while the dramatic entrance establishes a clear focal point that invites people in and encourages community and connection. Metal panels enhance the design, adding depth and definition while reinforcing the building’s bold architectural presence.
For this project, MillerClapperton fabricated and installed approximately 5,150 square feet of Metal Composite Material (MCM) panels for the Adult Education Center and approximately 250 square feet of MCM panels for the Preschool.
The First Redeemer Church Expansion project was voted a winner in the Best Application of MCM category in the 2026 ALPOLIC Project of the Year contest.
