Chicago’s famed Steppenwolf Theatre underwent a campus expansion, opening the Liz and Eric Lefkofsky Arts and Education Center. The 50,000-square-foot expansion features an intimate 400-seat in-the-round theater, the only one found in a major Chicago theater. With only six rows and no audience member more than 20 feet from the stage, actors are able to create an intimate relationship with the audience. The project also includes a new lobby space, costume shop and other production amenities, as well as a wine bar and sidewalk lounge. For this project, MillerClapperton fabricated Metal Composite Material (MCM) panels.
