The University of South Carolina’s Darla Moore School of Business serves as a gateway to downtown Columbia’s mixed-use Innovista district as well as an incubator for new economic development. The state-of-the-art building houses 35 classrooms and 136 faculty offices. The LEED Platinum-certified building was designed with the help of the U.S. Department of Energy and features a green rooftop. A natural reflection of its site, MillerClapperton fabricated and installed panels on all the exterior floors, roof, and interior courtyard. A unique feature of the project is the 24-oz. copper pavilion in the courtyard, and the metal composite material panels above the two courtyard staircases.
