#1 ALUCOBOND® PLUS TO BECOME STANDARD OFFERING

3A Composites USA, Inc. made a monumental announcement to their customers earlier this week as they become the first major metal composite material (MCM) manufacturer to standardize the use of ALUCOBOND® PLUS, the brand name for their Fire-Retardant core panel.

In their announcement, the manufacturers of ALUCOBOND stated that, 3A Composites is a responsible manufacturer and, as such, is aware of the fundamental role building materials have in creating safe buildings. 3A Composites will continue to support and endorse clear, stringent regulations with regard to fire protection and fire safety.

MillerClapperton applauds 3A Composites for leading the charge towards a single core and for working toward eliminating the confusions and varied interpretations of fire performance.

  • System components shall be shop fabricated.
  • Fabrication of other types of panels or fabricator’s goods is not considered as meeting the above requirement.
  • MCM System Fabricator shall have been in business under its present name for at least five (5) years prior to the start of this project.
  • MCM System Fabricator shall not have filed for protection from creditors under state or federal insolvency or debtor relief statutes or codes.
  • MCM System Fabricator shall substantiate a track record of one of the Manufacturers listed in this specification working with the Fabricator/Installer for three (3) consecutive years and at a scale of operations cited above.
