#1 THE MILLERCLAPPERTON BLOG

In 1979, Ted S. Miller and Dave Clapperton created a company that did more than just produce a product. They created an innovative and reliable company that would lead and inform the exterior cladding industry.

One example of this is how Ted dedicated countless hours into writing his weekly blogs, over 226 blogs. The blogs became such a staple in the community that Metal Architecture magazine dedicated a section of its publication to Ted’s writings. The feature was named Ted’s MCM Corner. For two years Ted informed and educated readers with a total of 19 articles. Just to prove how well-known and widespread these articles and blogs were, Ted was greeted by a reader from Canada while visiting the Eiffel Tower in Paris, France.

#2 PLATE ALUMINUM

Solid plate aluminum panels are the predecessors of metal composite material panels and have many benefits that allow for design flexibility and durability.

We have recently expanded our product offering and now offer plate aluminum systems.  To learn more and view our details please visit the PLATE ALUMINUM section of our website.

#3 SALES REPRESENTATIVES

In our continuous efforts to be one of the most accessible subcontractors, we now have 6 independent sales representatives and five offices across the United States. #4 PROJECT SPOTLIGHT

Darla Moore School of Business, University of South Carolina

This week we are featuring the Darla Moore School of Business at the University of South Carolina. This building was designed with help from the U.S. Department of Energy and features a green rooftop. This building also earned the LEED Platinum certification, the highest certification awarded by the U.S. Green Building Council.

MillerClapperton fabricated and installed panels on all the exterior floors, roof, and interior courtyard. A unique feature on the project is the 24 oz. copper pavilion in the courtyard, and the larson larcore A2 honeycomb panels above the two courtyard staircases.
