We talk about Metal Composite Material (MCM) frequently and there’s good reason. MCM cladding solutions are not only an attractive way for architects to fulfill their design vision; the material has become highly popular due to its modern, clean appearance, its availability in a broad spectrum of colors and finishes, as well as its strength and durability. If you’ve used MCM for a project, you know that it will be easy to maintain and keep its appearance for many years to come, which is another reason MCM is often selected as the cladding material of choice.
If you’d like to learn more about MCM or brush up your knowledge, a great resource is the Metal Construction Association’s (MCA) Metal University. They have recently updated four MCM-related white papers on topics such as Fire Performance Testing and Visual Acceptance Parameters. If you are interested in learning the various roles and people involved in producing a finished cladding system from manufacturing through to installation, we suggest reading The MCM Team.
