Let’s raise a glass to great architecture!  With wine consumption increasing across the globe, vineyards are looking to make a statement with more than just their wines.  They are increasingly becoming destinations in their own right, serving up world-class experiences through food, drink and stunning architecture.  As Fall’s grape harvest nears, Architectural Digest takes a look at some of the most beautifully designed vineyards, which have enlisted star architects such as Renzo Piano and Zaha Hadid.  Read more here.  
 

Pictured above is the Nanjing Wanjing Garden Chapel designed by AZL Architects in eastern China, which features a distinctive V-shaped roof.  Unique vertical timbers mask the interior with a double-layered facade, opening the space to natural light and the surrounding environment.  The chapel is situated along a riverbank in the city of Nanjing, where it hosts weddings and other religious services.
