The Associated Builders and Contractors recently released the findings of its Drone Usage report. This survey was conducted of contractor members in May 2026 and notes that 36.1% of respondents reported that they fly drones. Most often uses are for site progress monitoring (80.8%), marketing and media (77.5%) and inspections and mapping (50%).

Westminster Canterbury on Chesapeake Bay is expanding with the new 22-story Bay Tower. Designed to accommodate every lifestyle, the tower will feature 226 Independent Living apartments ranging from studios to two-bedroom, two-bath with a den. The tower will also include the Sky Lounge with a self-service wine bar and panoramic views, plunge pool with lounge chairs, pickleball court, dining options, theater, entertainment and game room, and a five-story parking garage.

For this project, MillerClapperton is fabricating and installing 91,000 square feet of Metal Composite Material (MCM) panels; 25,200 square feet of perforated aluminum panels; 3,900 square feet of Profiled Single-Skin panels; 12,000 square feet of soffit panels; and 2,000 square feet of louvers.

30 years.

How cool is that?!?!

It also made me stop and appreciate something that’s probably easy for us to take for granted. More than 60% of our workforce has been with MillerClapperton for five years or longer.
