The Architect’s Newspaper recently announced the winners of its 2025 Best of Design Awards. Now in its 13th year, the annual award program honors the impactful and meaningful work of architects and designers and has blossomed to give props to the work of the community as well as a way to survey the built environment. This year saw an increase in submissions from younger and emerging firms. Click the link below to see all of this year’s winners.

Georgia Tech’s first new residence hall in 20 years is currently under construction. Expected to open next year, and intended for first-year students, the 190,000-square-foot, eight-story building will have 860 beds in double-occupancy rooms, a 24-hour market, fitness center, group kitchens, community lounges and study rooms.

MillerClapperton is fabricating and installing a variety of products for the project, including approximately 17,000 square feet of Metal Composite Material (MCM) panels; 44,600 square feet of Fiber Cement panels; 17,100 square feet of Corten steel panels and 1,300 square feet of sunshades. The residence hall is also expected to be LEED Gold certified and is designed and constructed to Passive House standards.
