Each Fall, the editors of Conde Nast Traveller take great care in curating their list of the best places to travel in the year ahead. They’ve enlisted their extensive network of travel writers from around the world to “pitch, endorse, defend, and eventually align on the places they believe their readers will most want to go over the next 12 months.” This year’s list of 23 destinations have something for every type of traveler with an opportunity for slower, more meaningful travel and a focus on human connection. Atlanta’s notoriety and appeal continues to grow as the city tops list after list in 2022. According to the Resonance Consultancy ranking, which is considered to be the most comprehensive city ranking on the planet, Atlanta has taken the #50 spot on the list of World’s Best Cities. Of the world’s roughly 10,000 cities, that places Atlanta in the top .5 percent. It’s quite impressive for our growing metropolis and great news for the construction projects on the horizon, which are adding residential, retail, and office space. While 13 other U.S. cities beat out Atlanta, we’re proud of our hometown city.
