Nicklaus Children’s Hospital opened the new five-story, 131,000-square-foot Kenneth C. Griffin Surgical Tower in October 2024. The new facility combines leading-edge technology with a focus on delivering a compassionate patient experience to ensure children and their families don’t have to leave Florida for expert pediatric surgical care. The tower is equipped with 12 advanced and fully integrated operating suites to perform even the most complex pediatric surgeries. Pediatric surgical offerings include trauma care, surgical cancer interventions, and pediatric plastic and reconstructive surgeries including cleft lip-and-palate, orthopedic and spine, brain and heart surgeries. MillerClapperton fabricated and installed approximately 24,900 square feet of metal composite material for the project.

The University of New Mexico Hospital’s (UNMH) long-awaited Behavioral Health Crisis Center opened in June 2024. The 48,699-square-foot facility sits adjacent to the UNM Psychiatric Center and bridges the gap in the continuum of care for patients who do not need traditional inpatient care but need more support than regular outpatient care. The facility provides crisis stabilization services with 16 single patient bedrooms, with space dedicated to group therapy and staff support areas, as well as an observation unit. MillerClapperton fabricated and installed 17,300 square feet of high pressure laminate material in three colors for the project, which is expected to achieve LEED Silver status.

The third phase of UF Health Jacksonville’s master-planned campus is a new, 124-bed, 174,000-square-foot inpatient tower that expands acute care and adds rehabilitation and concierge medicine for the North Jacksonville community. The recently opened facility creates a hospitality-inspired experience driven by the latest technology that allows staff to deliver cutting-edge care while patients recover in a calm and comfortable environment. The six-story tower includes a 48-bed rehabilitation unit, two-story, state-of-the-art rehabilitation gym, and 76 acuity-adaptable patient rooms that can flex based on demand. Shared amenity spaces include conference rooms, dining areas, an outdoor rehab terrace and a healing garden. The building’s design was inspired by the Intracoastal Waterway and matches the other building on campus, with a signature silver ribbon winding through the façade that serves as a geometric interpretation of the inland marshes. For this project, MillerClapperton fabricated and installed 62,500 square feet of metal composite material, and 6,400 square feet of profiled metal panels.

The 40-story Signia by Hilton hotel in Atlanta is connected to the Georgia World Congress Center (GWC), and boasts 975 spacious guest rooms and 75,000 square feet of meeting and event space. As a central connection point to GWCC, the hotel has achieved LEED Gold certification and contributes to Atlanta’s prominence in sports, entertainment, and conventions. Additionally, Signia by Hilton, rooted in southern hospitality, embodies a local experience reflecting Atlanta’s diverse landscape and is strategically positioned as a bridge between historic neighborhoods and the burgeoning Westside district. MillerClapperton fabricated and installed approximately 56,000 square feet of metal composite material and 7,000 square feet of profiled single skin panels for this project.

Virginia’s first JW Marriott will serve as an anchor for the future Row at Reston Station neighborhood. Designed to complement the Helmut Jahn-designed office tower across the street, the 26-story hotel and condominium tower will have 243 guest rooms, 94 residences, and approximately 25,000 square feet for meeting spaces, two restaurants, and more. The residences will have dedicated spaces and amenities, including an owner’s lounge, fitness center, outdoor area and dog park. For this project, MillerClapperton is fabricating and installing approximately 76,400 square feet of MCM; 35,000 square feet of profiled single-skin panels; 1,200 square feet of plate aluminum panels; and 12,200 square feet of fiber cement panels. |
