The Conservation Center for Wildlife Care, which will have multiple buildings once complete, is operated by the Peninsula Humane Society and the Society for the Prevention and Cruelty of Animals (SPCA). Located on a 170-acre site just outside of San Jose, CA, the Conservation Center, which is funded by Oracle founder and tech billionaire Larry Ellison, will be a place where “nature’s humbler creatures, including bugs, snakes and salamanders” can have their broken wings mended and hides healed. About 8,500 animals are expected to receive medical care at the center each year and MillerClapperton will fabricate 4,900 square feet of Metal Composite Material for the project.
