Life Time athletic club opened its eighth club in Atlanta’s North Druid Hills in December 2024. The one-level, 65,000-square-foot club is set on 8 acres, and has outdoor spaces designed for relaxation and racquet sports. The resort-style outdoor area features a beach club and pool deck with a leisure pool, private cabanas and chairs, as well as a bistro. Ther’s 12 outdoor racquet sports courts for pickleball and tennis, as well as a courtside lounge and bar. Inside features five boutique studios for barre, cycling, group fitness, hot and traditional yoga, and Pilates. There’s also dedicated spaces for Life Time’s signature group training programs, providing nearly 150 weekly class offerings. For this project, MillerClapperton fabricated and installed 2,500 square feet of High-Pressure Laminate (HPL) panels.

A recent survey from Resume Templates, a resume-assistance company, shows that young workers and college graduates are turning to the skilled trades more than white collar work this year in search for stability and solid pay. According to the survey of 1,250 respondents born between 1997 and 2012, six in 10 are planning to pursue jobs in construction, electrical, HVAC, plumbing, building maintenance and manufacturing, among other trades.
