The winners of ArchDaily’s Building of the Year Awards were announced this week. This unique contest has proved to be the largest architecture prize centered around people’s opinion, as the finalists were crowdsourced via nomination, then selected by the site’s readers. More than 95,000 votes were gathered over just 20 days, and this year’s celebrated projects fall into 15 total categories. They highlight a wide range of interventions, typologies, scale, material, and locations that are a “mere reflection of the vast oureach of the profession.” From Singapore to Marrakech, and high-profile figures to newcomers, there are many incredible works to be celebrated and admired.

The Edison is a multi-storied office park that features a creative office campus, which will be built in two phases. Phase I was completed recently with 165,000 square feet of Class A office space featuring high ceilings, large windows, indoor and outdoor collaboration areas, and 24/7 access. An additional 5,000-square-foot clubhouse will have a fitness center, meeting space, and a cafe. For this project, MillerClapperton fabricated 1,937 square feet of Metal Composite Material and 1,055 square feet of 16-gauge steel.
