Wayne County consolidated their Health Department and Department of Social Services (HD/DSS) Buildings into a single location. The 80,000-square-foot building features two wings with shared central spaces, including interview rooms and meeting areas. The Health Department wing brings together essential medical services such as a pharmacy with lab facilities, with dedicated spaces for health education programs, nutrition services and patient accounting. The Social Services wing offers specialized program areas, including Child Protective Services, Family and Children Medicaid, and Adult Economic Services. For this project, MillerClapperton fabricated and installed 7,700 square feet of Metal Composite Material (MCM) panels.

A new report from Dodge Construction Network and CMiC examines how AI is reshaping the construction industry. In “AI for Contractors,” 87% of contractors say they believe AI will have a meaningful impact on construction. Additionally, 85% of contractors survey said they expect to spend less time on repetitive tasks, while 70% believe they will be able to make better decisions due to AI-generated insights.
