Skip Viragh Outpatient Cancer Building
The new building is situated on the Northeast corner of Fayette Street and North Broadway on the Johns Hopkins medical campus; one of the highest elevations in East Baltimore. It is named for Albert P. “Skip” Viragh, a Maryland mutual fund investment leader, philanthropist, and pancreatic cancer patient who was treated at John Hopkins. The 184,000 square foot center is expected to treat 180 current patients daily, as well as 60 to 80 new patients each week.
For this project, MillerClapperton fabricated 9,850 square feet of High Pressure Laminate material panels, which were installed in the driveway entry canopy and inside in the vestibule & lobby, waiting rooms, and surrounding the elevator doors.
