This year’s 12th edition opened up the contest to firms and projects worldwide, leading to the highest number of applicants ever. Winners were selected for editor’s picks, honorable mentions, winners and the Project of the Year.

To close out 2024, the editors of Architectural Record chose 10 of the most notable projects published during the year. Spanning the globe, the selection—which includes a reinvented embassy, a children’s hospital, an expanded airport terminal, an ambassador’s residence, and a historic train station brought back to life—reflects a rich diversity of form, materials and contexts.

Building Design + Construction put together a list of the 75 top products for 2024, as selected by a jury of AEC professionals and the BD+C editorial team. The annual list showcases the “best of the best” in new and updated building products for 2024. More than 90 product manufacturers serving the U.S. and Canadian commercial, institutional, industrial and multifamily building markets participated in the program, submitting 140 products in all. The jury selected 75 as “Judges’ Picks” across seven categories: Building Envelope, Building Systems, Glass and Glazing, Interior Products, Plumbing Products, Structural Products, and Windows and Doors.
