At its winter meeting earlier this month, the Metal Construction Association (MCA) presented its Patrick R. Bush Service Award to Rob Haddock, CEO and founder of S-5!, and the Larry A. Sweeney Award to Renee Ramey, executive director of the Metal Roofing Association (MRA). The Patrick R. Bush Service Award recognizes an individual from an MCA member company who has made a significant volunteer contribution to the MCA, and the Larry A. Sweeney Award is presented to an outstanding industry professional for their contributions to the success of the association and the betterment of the metal construction industry.

Fairwinds Landing is a large-scale redevelopment of the former Lambert’s Point Docks into a marine logistics and offshore wind support hub. Located across the Elizabeth River, the site covers more than 111 acres and is expected to be a strategic port facility that will support offshore wind energy, shipbuilding and maritime logistics industries.
Phase 3 of this project consists of the Dominion Energy Offshore Wind Monitoring and Coordination Center that will serve as a purpose-built operations and maintenance hub for Dominion Energy’s growing offshore wind operations. There will be an approximately 32,000-square-foot operations and maintenance center and approximately 17,000-square-foot warehouse for parts storage.
MillerClapperton is fabricating and installing 22,400 square feet of Metal Composite Material (MCM) panels for this project.
