The past few months have been a series of starts and stops for many companies as projects across the country were paused due to COVID-19. The months that lie ahead may also have their own set of unique challenges as policies change rapidly, and states and cities reopen at varying intervals. Although it is a time of uncertainty for many, there are more resources coming online to support the construction industry. Pages like that from Construction Connect offer delayed project reports, construction activity reports, webinars, and economic updates. The Metal Construction Association also has a new page with dedicated resources, such as a COVID-19 policy tracker by county/city and maps tracking reopenings throughout the country. We hope that these resources prove useful as you navigate what is optimistically a temporary “new normal”.

An expansion is currently underway at the Tift Regional Medical Center in Tifton. The multi-million dollar expansion includes a new, 263,000-square-foot, four-story tower. The first level will be a new emergency room, with the second, third, and fourth levels of the new tower dedicated to inpatient services, including a new location for the hospital’s intensive care unit. MillerClapperton is fabricating and installing 46,600 square feet of Metal Composite Material for the project.
