This week, we’re talking trends with 3A Composites USA, manufacturer of ALUCOBOND®, aluminum composite material. Despite more recent discussions surrounding healthcare design to address COVID-19, there are other important issues that have been the focus of improvement through ongoing research and innovation.

According to research, there are demographic shifts happening in the U.S., and it’s reported that by 2040, adults 65 and older will account for more than one in five Americans, up 15% from 2015. A new Margaritaville Vacation Club in downtown Atlanta is under construction at the corner of Centennial Olympic Park Drive and Nassau Street. The Jimmy Buffet-branded resort complex will reach 21-stories and offer 207 timeshare units ranging from studios to four-bedroom suites. The project will also feature two floors of retail and 14,200 square feet of dedicated restaurant space, in addition to a pool and fitness center on the 19th floor. MillerClapperton is fabricating and installing 110,300 square feet of Metal Composite Material, 8,000 square feet of Profiled Single Skin, and 3,300 square feet of extruded aluminum planks.

This is typically the time of year when the global design industry has a calendar packed full of exhibitions, fairs, and more. Sadly, due to COVID-19, many of these events have been either postponed or cancelled. It’s worth bringing your attention to a couple, like the ABC Convention in Nashville that was scheduled for August. The event has been cancelled and registration fees will be refunded.
