With the passage of the Inflation Reduction Act, the federal government has made the renovation of aging U.S. infrastructure a top priority. There are approximately 80 projects slated to enhance infrastructure resilience, while recent unplanned disasters such as the Francis Scott Key Bridge accident in Baltimore in March have led contractors to act fast on bidding and bonding while having a plan to start work as soon as possible. Tennessee’s largest orthopedic surgery group, Tennessee Orthopaedic Alliance recently opened a new and expanded clinic in Clarksville, Tenn. The 28,000-square-foot building is designed to meet the many needs of patients all under one roof. The facility features an orthopedic clinic and urgent care, physical therapy, imaging services, and specialized sports performance training for both individuals and groups. MillerClapperton will be fabricating and installing 4,700 square feet of Metal Composite Material (MCM) panels.

In addition to serving as a backdrop for fashion shows, architecture can also influence fashion collections, contributing to their storytelling, offering material inspiration and showcasing the connection between structure and shape. While both disciplines revolve around form, structure and the human experience, architecture and fashion also share a strong connection. The interplay between architecture and fashion has been explored from both sides from tailoring and designs that mimic architectural lines, contours and volumes, to architecture taking cues from how fashion works with the human shape.
