Metal Architecture recently announced the recipients of the 2021 Design Awards. This year’s winners represent a variety of outstanding projects in eight separate categories, plus a Grand Award Winner, which went to the Oklahoma Contemporary Arts Center in Oklahoma City. According to the magazine, there was very little discussion over awarding the project designed by Rand Elliott Architects the Grand Award, as well as the winner in the Smooth Metal Wall Panel category. The new Advanced Technology and Applied Science (ATAS) building at Saddleback College is under construction in Mission Viejo, CA. The design of the 52,100 SF project showcases the diverse programs that will be housed inside the ATAS building, including Architecture Drafting, Computer Technology, Marine Biology, and Horticulture to name a few. MillerClapperton is fabricating 5,500 square feet of Metal Composite Material for the project.
