#1 FRIDAY5 CELEBRATES FIRST YEAR

It’s been one year since we first launched Friday5 and we want to say a sincere thank you for taking this journey with us.  We enjoy bringing you our favorite stories and important industry news each week, while also sharing updates on the fun and often unique projects we’re working on.

We’re proud to say that after just a few months, the Friday5 was awarded a Superstar Award from the Construction Marketing Association at the end of 2017 and we’re excited to deliver even more great stories to your inbox during our second year.  Are you a recent subscriber?  You can read all of our past issues here in the archives, organized by year.  If you love Friday5, we also invite you to share with friends and colleagues by clicking the ‘Forward to a Friend’ button at the bottom of this email.

To ensure we continue to bring you the news and stories you really care about, would you take 2-3 minutes to give us your feedback?  Please complete this survey and let us know how we can make Friday5 a great experience for years to come.  Thank you again for being a valued Friday5 subscriber.

#2 STUNNING WALLS FROM AROUND THE WORLD

This Instagram account will inspire you to pay more attention to the surfaces around you.  The aptly named @ihaveathingforwalls celebrates the beauty of walls and curates a selection of submissions from their followers.  Photographs of walls from Los Angeles, CA to Alicante, Spain are snapshots of beauty from peeling to painted and vibrant, to even the dilapidated.  See more recent posts captured by ArchDaily here.  While your geeking out on walls on Instagram, why don’t you follow-us too?  You’ll find us @thepanelguys.

#3 ICONIC BUILDINGS IN EVERY STATE

Even though the United States is a relatively young country compared to the rest of the world, we have no shortage of great architecture from historic structures to postmodern masterpieces, each reflecting the unique time period and style in which they were built.  There are hundreds of landmark buildings from coast to coast and everywhere in between, but Architectural Digest did the curating for us and selected the most iconic one from each state.  Are you planning a trip this summer?  Don’t miss the opportunity to visit some of these truly incredible places.  Click here to read more.

#4 PROJECT SPOTLIGHT

Miami Cancer Institute | Baptist Health South Florida
The Miami Cancer Institute is a 305,000 square foot outpatient cancer center.  The project included a 70,000 square foot radiation oncology department, a 350-foot pedestrian walkway connecting it to Baptist Hospital, two parking garage structures and a 15,000 square foot central energy plant, all built to High Velocity Hurricane Zone (HVHZ) building code standards.

For this project, MillerClapperton fabricated and installed 81,000 square feet of Metal Composite Material panels and nearly 50,000 square feet of Single Skin panels.

Location: Miami, FL
Material: Metal Composite Material & Single Skin

#5 CURRENT PROJECT

Camden Office Tower
This 18-story, 375,000 square foot office tower will soon be the tallest building on Camden’s waterfront.  The building will include 10 floors of office space above seven stories of parking.  Built into the design of the structure is the ability to convert the top two levels of parking into additional office space, if and when there is excess parking in the future.  The design has made the office tower significantly taller, which will result in unimpeded views of the Delaware River and Philadelphia skyline.

MillerClapperton is fabricating 115,610 square feet of Metal Composite Material panels and 9,308 square feet of Perforated Metal Panels for this project.

Location: Camden, NJ
Material: Metal Composite Material & Perforated Panels
Products: Reynobond
General Contractor: Joseph Jingoli & Son
Architect: Robert A.M. Stern
