IN THIS WEEK’S FRIDAY5

15 winning projects have been selected out of 75 finalists to earn a coveted spot on ArchDaily’s Building of the Year Awards. Over the last three weeks, the ArchDaily community cast over 150,000 votes to help highlight and recognize the best recent architecture projects. “The scale of this award is a reflection of how important architecture is today, as the deepening complexity of our world places increasing pressure and demands upon our built environment.” Pictured above is the Convento de Beato Center in Portugal, which earned the award for ‘Best Applied Products’ and was the “result of a long process of technical and formal research made necessary by the desire to ensure that it is structurally light, technically efficient, and architecturally coherent with the cloister elevations.” Keep reading for the full list of awarded projects.
