Metal Composite Material (MCM) has been used as a means of exterior cladding in North American construction for more than 40 years. In order for this flat sheet metal material to be used, it must first be fabricated into an assembly that is installable on the structure. These different assemblies are known as installation ‘systems’.
The latest technical bulletin from the Metal Construction Association dives into basic installation systems and their differences to help you understand how the systems were first developed and what is used today. The bulletin also discusses some of the more sophisticated designs that are currently popular and meet the performance of building technology practices today.

ArchDaily takes a look at incredible works of architecture that maximize the breathtaking beauty of mountains in their most recent compilation here. |
