Golden Pantry’s newest store is under construction and it will replace its previous store that was lost in a fire. The 5,000-square-foot store is 1,800 square feet larger in size and is considered the “next generation of neighborhood stores.” The new store will have a more open floor plan with a wider variety of freshly prepared meals and large walk-in beer pantry. MillerClapperton is fabricating and installing 1,700 square feet of Metal Composite Material for the project.

Last week, the American Institute of Architects (AIA) announced the winners of the annual Education Facility Design Award. A total of 12 winners were recognized with seven Awards of Excellence and five Award of Merit given out overall. Projects were ranked using a host of criteria including “enhancing learning in classrooms; balancing function with aesthetics; establishing a connection with the environment; being respectful of the surrounding community; demonstrating high-level planning in the design process; and integrating sustainability in a holistic fashion.” Click below for more details about each of the award-winning designs.
