This includes a number of companies with specific yet important duties, which consists of manufacturers, fabricators, and installers. A new primary school is under construction in the Bleckley County school system. The primary school is being replaced with a Pre-K through 2 school that will have an additional wing for Pre-K. Rather than separate buildings for Pre-K and Primary, they will all be under one roof. The new school is expected to offer more educational opportunities including updated special needs classrooms. MillerClapperton is fabricating and installing 4,500 square feet of Metal Composite Material and 24,000 square feet of Profiled Single Skin for the project, which is scheduled to finish this summer.

The American Institute of Architects’ (AIA) monthly Architecture Billing Index (ABI) was up for the second consecutive month in September, with the South having the highest increase. “The ABI is a leading economic indicator of construction activity in the U.S. and reflects a nine- to 12-month lead time between architecture billings and construction spending nationally, regionally, and by project type.” “The ABI score over the last eight months continue to be among the highest ever seen in the immediate post-recession periods that have been captured throughout the index’s history,” said AIA chief economist, Kermit Baker, Hon. AIA.
