IN THIS WEEK’S FRIDAY5

Swipe left on Product Catfishers! Architects and general contractors often contact product manufacturers to inquire about the installed costs of their materials. While manufacturers are a good resource to utilize, they aren’t necessarily the best. In most cases, the manufacturer controls a very small percentage of the installed product costs, which often results in the formulation of fictional and uneducated square footage quotes.

However, there is hope for architects and general contractors to get connected with products and materials they love, along with accurate and absolute costs. Recommendation: Podcasts Worth Your Time
Compiled By: Architect’s Newspaper
Architect’s Newspaper has compiled a list of podcasts they think you’ll love if you’re a self-described archiphile. If you think you can’t make sense of architecture without the visual aids, there are plenty of personal and historical narratives to bring a building to life through podcasts. Rather than list mainstream programs that you’ve probably heard us mention in the past, their round-up has more niche programs that are still well worth your time. Check out ‘Buildings On Air’, ‘Scaffold’, and others in the link below.
