The section on technology explores how prefabricated modules are changing housing and highlights advancements in smart home systems with the example of Virginia Tech’s award-winning FutureHAUS, for which MillerClapperton and 3A Composites collaborated to supply materials.

Moving in the Spirit is an award-winning creative youth development program that uses dance to teach young people the social, emotional, and cognitive skills they need to thrive. The nonprofit was selected as the community arts anchor for a new transit-oriented development at the Edgewood/Candler Park rail station.  The building is poised to become the centerpiece of the mixed-use project, which is transforming a former parking lot into housing, greenspace, and community amenities. For the project, MillerClapperton is fabricating and installing 11,400 square feet of Fiber Cement totaling more than 600 panels.
