Recommendation: “The Hero of Doubt: Selected Writings by Ernesto Nathan Rogers”
“The Hero of Doubt: Selected Writings by Ernesto Nathan Rogers” is the first English anthology of Ernesto Nathan Rogers, a British-Italian architect, editor and critic. The book, published by MIT Press, was edited by Roberta Marcaccio and translated by Steve Piccolo, features essays from 1932 to 1965. The works reveal how he worked alongside his professional collaborators–Gianluigi Banfi, Lodovico Barbiano di Belgiojoso, and Enrico Peressutti (who, with Rogers, were collectively known as BBPR)—while also untangling a multifaceted identity crisis.Click the link below to read a review in Architectural Record.
