Cape Girardeau Police Station
Earlier this year, the Cape Girardeau Police Department celebrated the grand opening of their new offices, jail, and the City’s Municipal Court. The new police headquarters was built on the site of a former Naval Reserve Center, which was used up until 2007, then utilized by the U.S. Army Reserve until 2015. That original building was ultimately demolished to create space for the new facility, which serves approximately 40,000 residents and a daytime population of more than 100,000.
