#1 ASK THE PANEL GUYS | EPISODE 2

Episode 2 of ‘Ask The Panel Guys’ is now available to watch on MillerClapperton’s YouTube channel here.  Join us as president Zeke Miller navigates the intricacies of specifying Metal Composite Material (MCM).  Specific project requirements and the differences in material core may make the specification process challenging at times, but we have some helpful tips.

How many core types are there and what type do you specify, when?  To learn which material core is right for your project, view this quick video.  Zeke offers our best recommendations for material core selection and goes into detail about which International Building Codes to pay attention to, and what the NFPA 285 rating means for you.

#2 MOST BEAUTIFUL CLUBHOUSES IN AMERICA

On the heels of Tiger Woods’ historic comeback at last week’s PGA Tour Championship in our hometown city of Atlanta, we thought it would be fun to put an architectural spin on golf.  We’re sharing a list compiled by Architectural Digest showcasing the most beautiful clubhouses in each state, which reveals some of the most stunning buildings that very few of us ever get to see.  Are you curious which one made the list in your state?  Click here to see more.

#3 LOST AMERICA | GREAT BUILDINGS RECONSTRUCTED

Call us nostalgic, but we aren’t the only ones paying homage to what were some of America’s greatest buildings.  From the original Penn Station to Midway Gardens, our “lost” buildings reflect the (sometimes misguided) desire to move forward.  It seems strange to see a street we know so well, but with a time-traveling intruder atop it.  An article from HomeAdvisors was recently shared with ArchDaily, showing what some of the country’s most recognizable streetscapes might look like if history had taken a different turn.  Click here to glimpse the buildings of our past.

#4 PROJECT SPOTLIGHT

Cape Girardeau Police Station
Earlier this year, the Cape Girardeau Police Department celebrated the grand opening of their new offices, jail, and the City’s Municipal Court.  The new police headquarters was built on the site of a former Naval Reserve Center, which was used up until 2007, then utilized by the U.S. Army Reserve until 2015.  That original building was ultimately demolished to create space for the new facility, which serves approximately 40,000 residents and a daytime population of more than 100,000.  For this project, MillerClapperton fabricated 3,845 square feet of Metal Composite Material

Location: Cape Girardeau, MO
Material: Metal Composite Material
Product: Reynobond FR
General Contractor: Kiefner Brothers, Inc.
Architect: Chiodini Architects

#5 CURRENT PROJECT

Cleveland Clinic Florida
