The Thrive Center for Safety and Healing is a new facility built by The Advocates to expand services for domestic violence and sexual assault survivors, as well as support community healing and prevention. The 22,000-square-foot building has 20 new transitional housing units, an expanded THRIVE Kids Early Learning Center as well as a 100-person meeting area, teaching kitchen, shared offices, multipurpose room, youth meeting rooms and a children’s play area.

​For this project, MillerClapperton is fabricating and installing approximately 2,000 square feet of Metal Composite Material (MCM) panels; 9,600 square feet of Single-Skin Metal panels, and 3,500 square feet of Fiber Cement panels.

Gen Z has an ease and instant familiarity with technology and software that many senior counterparts do not. But just like younger workers may have instant knowledge of technology due to growing up with devises at their fingertips from a young age, many do not have the recognition and solutions for issues on the jobsite. Working together, professionals in both generations can learn from and support each other with technology and on the jobsite.

In this biography, “Max Bond: The Life and Work of the People’s Architect,”​author​Brian D. Goldstein takes a closer look at the architect, who was also an educator and civil rights advocate, who led change across the profession. He looks at how race, politics, education, and activism shaped both J. Max Bond Jr. and his work. Bond, who was one of the most important Black architects of the postwar era, carried a sense that architecture could be liberatory for people around the world, living up to the promise of modernism.
