As the look and feel of traditional parking garages has become outdated, a new trend in metal design has emerged in recent years with the adoption and application of garage cladding systems and screening. There are several new types of garage screens and cladding systems that not only improve the aesthetic value of a project, but also provide benefits to the structure and its use. Architects and designers have also begun to recognize the benefits of garage screens in addition to the versatility and durability offered by natural metals. With the opening of our dedicated metal shop in the past couple years, we have seen firsthand as this trend has grown in popularity, and we continue to fabricate a number of screens for parking garage projects such as Loudoun Station pictured above. The new regional medical center in Prince George County will promote improved access to primary and ambulatory care services for county residents. The first phase of development includes a new, freestanding teaching hospital and ambulatory care building. Located adjacent to a Metro station, the medical center will ultimately anchor a pedestrian-friendly, mixed-use development. For this project, MillerClapperton is fabricating and installing 17,025 square feet of Metal Composite Material and 41,792 square feet of Single Skin Material.
